Originally from Valdosta, Ga., I graduated high school at Valwood School in 2006. I am a senior at Auburn University, majoring in public relations. I plan to graduate in August 2010, after completing an internship this summer.

The public relations curriculum at Auburn has been extremely beneficial to me. I have enjoyed learning the impact of social media and its importance in the future of public relations. . I am also very interested in graphic design and enjoy working with Adobe InDesign, Dreamweaver and Photoshop. I know the knowledge and skills that I have gained in my courses will give me the foundation I need to succeed.

My passions are traveling, music and art. I hope to incorporate them into my career in PR. My goal is to work for a globally competitive company and to continue pursuing these interests.

Family and friends are very important to me. I am blessed to have a family and friends who believe in me and want the best for me. They make life fun and provide a nucleus of people that I know will support me in all my adventures.

In 2008, I studied abroad in Innsbruck, Austria. I traveled to Germany, Italy, Croatia and the Czech Republic. I could not have asked for a more wonderful experience! I learned to adapt quickly to different situations and cultures and realized sometimes, you just need to go with the flow. Being able to acclimate to other cultures is increasingly important—social media is allowing and expanding the global economy.

"When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me."
