For my senior year capstone class, I collaborated with three other PR students to create a campaign proposal for the College of Liberal Arts program during Auburn's freshmen orientation. Our main goal was to improve and create awareness for the program.
We devised a plan of action based on three parts: before, during and after the orientation program.
Our campaign includes objectives, strategies and tactics for each part of the proposal. An appendix in the back of the book also shows examples of our tactics.
As of May 2010, the College of Liberal Arts has already put into action one of our tactics, a student advisory board for the orientation program.

Using the Adobe Creative Suite, I have created the following designs.
For my PR Writing class, I created a fictional press kit.
The press kit I designed was for the annual Spring Into Art Show, a fundraiser for Grassroots, an afterschool program for the Turner Center for the Arts.

Social media is becoming the foreface of public relations.
As PR professional, Jeremy Pepper, said on mashable.com, "There are so many uses conversational marketing, reaching influencers that PR is able to participate in conversations and answer questions, be a support system for clients and companies, as well as empowering customers and power users to be a de facto resource for your company, a champion for your products."
I understand the importance of using social media as an outlet for PR. I have a working knowledge of all of the following websites:
