Picasso in the making

I was so excited to be home this weekend!! There is nothing I love more than family, friends & being home in Valdosta. On Saturday morning, I was working on a painting at my parent's house when my niece, Mary Grace, came over. She saw me and immediately said, "I want to paint too." She's at that fun age when she wants to do everything you do. Haha Either way, I couldn't wait.

I think that Prang watercolors (in the children's section) are the best inexpensive, kid's watercolor set. We grabbed that and some kid's watercolor paper and headed home to get started.

I was so excited to teach her about watercolors, but didn't think her attention span would last very long. Boy, was I wrong! I think we ended up painting for over two hours! I might be slightly biased, but I think Mary Grace ended up with some awesome abstract pieces!! I'm getting one the top right framed for my office.
